Russ Shirley & Ike Brunner
We live at the intersection of social/digital and education. We teach, speak, consult, facilitate groups and write on any and all topics that are digital- and social-related.
We have worked in the digital space combined for over a decade, helping some of the biggest international brands execute and measure their digital marketing programs. We have extensive experience evaluating and optimizing digital media, executing market research, and monitoring industry trends.
We met while working together for three years at CRM Metrix (now a MetrixLab company), a digital marketing analytics company. Russ left CRM Metrix for Possible Worldwide, a digital advertising agency, to gain more hands-on marketing execution experience. Ike stayed at CRM Metrix as Director, leading the Cincinnati business unit.
Wright State University
In 2012 we began guest-lecturing to undergraduate classes on digital and social tools for personal branding and professional advancement. We began teaching the “Social Media & Personal Branding” course at Wright State University in fall 2013 and continue to teach it today.
Cincinnati Digital Xchange
We are the founders of the Cincinnati Digital Xchange, which meets monthly and seeks to better understand new and upcoming trends, marketing strategies, and measurement/evaluation of performance of all things digital (e.g., social, location-based services, mobile).
In addition to lecturing, we own Infinite Digital, where we consult with companies and individuals in the areas of digital and mobile marketing, social media and personal branding.
Russ Shirley holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Business Management and Marketing from the University of Cincinnati College of Business.
Ike Brunner has B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees in Communication from Bowling Green State University.
